In Guangzhou, a city in southern China, dailSHAHGHAI, May 12, 2009 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- EJ | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Commodity residential house sales in Shanghai and Guangzhou, two first-tier cities in China, posted modest increase in the week ended May 10, while sales in Beijing was on the decline.

Aggregate 340,200 square meters of commodity y sales volume of newly built residential house averaged 540 units, increasing about 30% from 413 units a week ago, shows statistics by gz.focus.cn, a local real estate site.

On the other hand, 327,500 square meters or 2,755 units of forward delivery houses were sold in Beijing, dipping 5.4% and 14% from 346,200 square meters and 3,195 units in the previous week, according to bjfdc.gov.cn, a real estate transaction management site in the city.
